I constantly search for items which are beneficial to your skin and can be used in N4You Soaps as well. Luckily, there isn’t a a shortage of creative things you can do with soap! Below is a list of new items recently incorporated into my soaps and their benefits for your skin.
Goats Milk – It naturally contains many vitamins but is high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. It also contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help to remove dead skin cells. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking. Lastly, the cream that is present in goats milk helps to boost the moisturizing quality of the soap.
Beer – I know what you are thinking…beer? Yes, beer! Not only does your skin like beer, your hair does too! Beer is made up of hops which have relaxing properties. It also soothes irritated skin and contains polyphenols which are thought to account for anti-bacterial and preservative properties. Lastly, beer contains skin softening amino acids. Looking to bring some life back into your hair? Use a shampoo bar made with beer!
Wine – If we are going to enjoy beer, why not some wine as well? Grapes have a great degree of flavonoids which act as antioxidants. Grapeseed oil contains chlorophyll and has regenerative and restructuring properties. It also naturally helps your skin to maintain its normal structure of the outer layer of your skin. Lastly, the naturally produced sugar in wine makes for a great lather!
Coconut Milk – Just a quick note, coconut milk does not smell like coconuts. Also, it is not the liquid you see when you open a coconut. Instead, coconut milk is obtained by breaking down the coconut meat, steeping it in hot water, and straining out the resulting liquid. It is loaded with fats, nutrients and minerals that are good for the skin and hair. In particular, it’s rich in protein which is great for damaged hair or skin. I have also found it makes a very luxurious and creamy lather. I am a big fan!
If any of these have gained your interest, be sure you stop by www.n4yousoaps.etsy.com and try a bar. Your skin and hair will thank you!
